 About Disabilityportal.co.uk

Disabilityportal.co.uk

Disabilityportal.co.uk was the concept of David Bainbridge. Who, having lived with Chronic Pain 24x7 for 33 years, caused by severe Ehlers Danlos Syndrome became frustrated that available information for the disabled was hard to find and spread all over the place. There was no one place that I could go for the information I needed.

Quite often, very simple details that could have made life considerably easier took, sometimes a year or more. Often it wasn't until years later that I found out there was another source or way.

It also became apparent that the people who knew the most about their illness, disability aids and resources performed better. Who knew how to get from A to B with fewer difficulties. Who knew that you could save so much time, often painfully invested, by taking simple measures or by buying one simple product. Were in fact, the disabled themselves.

Disabilityportal.co.uk is an attempt to place as much of that information together in one place where it is easily and freely available.

At Disabilityportal.co.uk we want to hear from you. We want you to advise us which disability products perform better. Where and when support groups meet. What holiday accommodation offer the best disabled access. Quite often the information probably seems very mundane or just plain common sense, but you can kick yourself if you have been struggling for years only to learn that you can buy a key to fit all public disabled toilets in one Councils area.

Share your experiences and knowledge with everyone.

We look forward to hearing from you.
